2007 CHILD Participation Table and Map

Percentage of U.S. Children >4 months and < 6 years with 2+ Immunizations in IIS

In 2007, 71% of the U.S. children less than 6 years of age participated in a grantee immunization information system (IIS). Twelve states and three cities reported over 95% of their children greater than 4 months and less than 6 years of age with at least two immunizations in the IIS. Fourteen states and the District of Columbia were approaching the national health objective, with participation of 81%-94%.

2007 PUBLIC PROVIDER Participation Table and Map

Percentage of Public Providers Actively Participating in IIS by Grantee

An average of 73% of public immunization provider sites submitted data to their IIS during the last six months of 2007. Twenty-three grantees reported that >95% of public provider vaccination sites submitted immunization data to an IIS; 9 reported submission of immunization data by 81%-94% of public provider vaccination sites. These results are based on self reported data from CDC immunization grantees.

An average of 53% of private provider sites submitted data to the IIS during the last six months of 2007. Eight grantees reported over 95% of their private immunization provider sites submitting data to the IIS; 6 reported submission of immunization data by 81%-94% of private provider vaccination sites. The results are based on self reported data from CDC immunization grantees.
