Getting Reimbursed for Tdap Vaccination

Many prenatal care providers’ offices now routinely offer immunization services to their patients. Coding and billing can be barriers to administering the tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine during pregnancy. Correct coding enables an office to report these activities to third-party payers and to receive appropriate reimbursement for these services.
