Data Products
- We are pleased to announce some 2015 NAMCS public use data file enhancements. In addition to our usual SAS and SPSS statements which can be used with the ASCII data file to create SAS and SPSS data sets, we have also provided pre-made SAS and SPSS datasets for user convenience. These were created with the provided SAS statements and SPSS syntax file and should give identical results. Pre-made Stata datasets are already available for survey years 1993-2015. (9/2017)
- A slightly modified version of the 2015 NAMCS public use file has been uploaded which corrects an invalid diagnosis code on two records. More information is available from our Public Use Data File Updates page. (9/2017)
- The 2015 NAMCS public use data file and documentation are now available for downloading, along with SAS, Stata, and SPSS files for reading and formatting the data. (8/2017)
- The 2012 NAMCS Community Health Center (CHC) public use data file and documentation are now available for downloading, along with SAS, Stata, and SPSS files for reading and formatting the data. (6/2017)
- NOTICE: The 2014 NAMCS Public Use Data File Documentation and the 2014 NHAMCS-ED Public Use Data File Documentation have been updated to correct estimates for Hispanic and Non-Hispanic populations on pp. 22-25 (NAMCS) and pp. 30-33 (NHAMCS). The original versions showed 2013 estimates by mistake. (6/2017)
- The 2014 NHAMCS Emergency Department public use data file and documentation are now available for downloading, along with SAS, Stata, and SPSS files for reading and formatting the data. (4/2017)

- NOTICE: The 2012 NHAMCS-ED Stata public use data file was updated to convert all variable names from lower- to upper-case. This fix benefits Stata users who want to merge multiple years of data since users were experiencing issues doing so using the old data file. (3/2017)
- NOTICE: The 2011 NAMCS Stata public use data file was updated to fix a singleton (occurrence of a single respondent within a sampling stratum or cluster in areas not selected with certainty) that was found following the initial file release. Variance estimation results should be very similar for both the original and the revised files. This fix mainly benefits data users whose software does not correct for singletons. (3/2017)
- The 2011 NAMCS SPSS syntax file (namcs2011.sps) is now available for downloading. (3/2017)
