PCSI Success Stories
April 28, 2014
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to share success stories from the 2010-2014 Program Collaboration and Service Integration (PCSI) Demonstration Projects. The Demonstration Projects were awarded to six U.S. jurisdictions, including New York City, North Carolina, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Texas, and Washington, D.C., to plan, scale‐up, and support the implementation of a syndemic approach to the prevention of viral hepatitis, HIV, STDs, and TB.
These PCSI Success Stories showcase how awardees applied program collaboration and service integration in their jurisdictions. Through various crosscutting approaches, based on their local epidemiology data, each jurisdiction saw progress and achievement in more efficient and patient-centered services. The stories provide valuable insight into the power of collaboration and integration of services and can help to inform and guide your own work in this area.
I encourage you to read these stories, reach out to the health departments who wrote them, and share them broadly with your partners and colleagues. Thank you for your continued commitment to enhance our public health efforts.
Sincerely,
/Jonathan Mermin/
