Historic CDC Design & Operation Manuals for Pools & Hot Tubs
CDC developed various manuals for pool and hot tub design and operation during the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s. Much of the information in the manuals might still be helpful to aquatics and public health professionals. However, CDC’s Healthy Swimming and Model Aquatic Health Code websites have the most current information on the design, construction, operation, maintenance, and management of public aquatic facilities, superseding information found in these historic manuals. To access the historic manuals, please visit the Publications, Data, & Statistics page.
