The following is an important public health announcement about drinking water safety. Normal sources of water may be unsafe following the earthquake, even if the water looks clear. Drink treated water if possible. When boiling and bleaching is impossible, let water settle for at least 3 hours and filter through a clean cloth. Do not try to make water that has mixed with fuel or harmful chemicals safe. Never drink water that has mixed with fuel or harmful chemicals. These tips can save lives….Be safe.
