Important Updates of the 2016 American Diabetes Association's Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes: Secrets of Success for the Health Care Team and Community Health Workers 

This webinar reviews the 2016 American Diabetes Association's (ADA) Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes guidelines from the perspective of diabetes self-management education. The new standards are explained by a certified diabetes educator and pharmacist who discusses the importance of education for diabetes self-management, on medication algorithms, and on setting targets. She also explains the guidelines around the importance of using a patient-centered approach, among other substantive changes.

Evidence Based Worksite Health Assessment Tools for Effective Health Improvement Plans

This webinar provides information about the development and use of the Worksite Health Assessment tools developed specifically for the National Healthy Worksite Program including:

  • CDC Worksite Health ScoreCard
  • CDC NHWP Employee Health Assessment (CAPTURETM)
  • CDC NHWP Health and Safety Climate Survey (INPUTSTM)

In addition, individual and aggregate reports will be discussed and how these reports help employees to assess and monitor their personal health status, and how aggregate reports help employers to see the health of their workforce.
