முற்றுப்புள்ளி
நிறுத்தற்குறிகளில் முற்றுப்புள்ளி (Full stop) என்பது ஒரு வாக்கியத்தின் முடிவில் இடம் பெறுவதாகும். இது கோட்டின் மீது எழுதப்படுவதால் இதை கிளிப் என்றும் கூறுகிறார்கள். இது கோட்டின் மேல் பகுதியில் வைக்கப்படும் புள்ளியான நடுப்புள்ளியிலிருந்து வேறுபடுகிறது.[1][2]

முற்றுப்புள்ளி வேறு பல இடங்களிலும் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. பெயர்களுக்கு முன்பு போடப்படும் முதலெழுத்துகளுக்குப் பின்பும் சில நேரங்களில் சுருக்கங்களுக்கு நடுவிலும் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. கணிதத்திலும் இதன் பங்கு குறிப்பிடத் தகுந்தது. அங்கே இப்புள்ளியை தசம எண்களைக் குறிப்பிட உதவுகிறது.
