ഹിജ്റ

മക്കയിൽ നിന്ന് ശത്രുക്കളുടെ അസഹനീയമായ ഉപദ്രവവും വധ ഭീഷണിയും നേരിട്ടപ്പോൾ പ്രവാചകൻ മുഹമ്മദ്‌ മദീനയിലേക്ക് പലായനം ചെയ്ത സംഭവത്തെയാണ് ഹിജ്റ എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നത്‌. ഗിഗ്രോറിയൻ കലണ്ടർ 622 ജൂൺ 17 നാണ് പ്രവാചകൻ മുഹമ്മദ്‌ മക്കയിൽ നിന്നും ദൈവ കല്പന പ്രകാരമുള്ള യാത്രയായ ഹിജ്റ ആരംഭിച്ചത്. ഹിജ്റ കലണ്ടറിന്റെ ആരംഭവും ഈ ദിവസമാണ് (മുഹറം മാസം ഒന്ന്)
