നായ്‌ത്തുമ്പ

രണ്ടു മീറ്റർ ഉയരം വയ്ക്കുന്ന ഒരിനം കുറ്റിച്ചെടിയാണ് നായ്‌ത്തുമ്പ. (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Pogostemon quadrifolius). പാറയുള്ള പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ കാണുന്നു. വടക്കേ ഇന്ത്യയിലും കേരളത്തിലും കാണാറുണ്ട്.[1] നാല്പതോളം തരം പൂമ്പാറ്റകൾ തേൻ കുടിക്കാൻ ഈ ചെടിയിൽ എത്തുന്നതായി മാടായിപ്പാറയിൽ നടത്തിയ നിരീക്ഷണത്തിൽ കണ്ടിരുന്നു.
