ഖുറാസാൻ

വടക്കുകിഴക്കൻ പേർഷ്യയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ചരിത്രപരമായ ഭൂപ്രദേശമാണ് ഖുറാസാൻ.(മിഡിൽ പേർഷ്യൻ: , പേർഷ്യൻ: خراسان Xorāsān/Xorâsân listen ), പേർഷ്യയുടെ വടക്ക് കിഴക്കായും തുർക്ക്മെനിസ്ഥാൻറെ തെക്കായും അഫ്ഗാനിസ്ഥാൻറെ വടക്കുഭാഗത്തായിട്ടുമാണ് ഈ പ്രദേശം നിലകൊള്ളുന്നത്. ഇസ്ലാമിക ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളിൽ പരാമർശിക്കപ്പടുന്ന ഇമാം മഹ്ദി (റ) ഈ പ്രദേശത്ത് നിന്നാണ് പുറപ്പെടുന്നതെന്ന് ചരിത്രമുണ്ട്.
