মোল দিবস

মোল দিবস রসায়নবিদরা ২৩শে অক্টোবর, সন্ধ্যা ৬:০২ থেকে সকাল ৬:০২ পর্যন্ত উদযাপন করে থাকেন,[1][2][3] আমেরিকার রীতি অনুযায়ী ৬:০২×১০২৩ হিসেবে তারিখটি লেখা হয়। আভোগাদ্রোর সংখ্যা থেকে দিন এবং সময় নির্দিষ্ট করা হয়েছে, যা ৬:০২×১০২৩ এর কাছাকাছি। এক মোল পদার্থের কণার (পরমাণু বা অণু) সংখ্যা সংজ্ঞা অনুযায়ী, এটি সাত ভিত্তিক এসআই এককের একটি।

১৯৮০ সালের শুরুতে "দ্য সায়েন্স টিচার" নামক প্রবন্ধ থেকে মোল দিবস কথাটি আসে।[4] এই নিবন্ধটি দ্বারা অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ে, মরিস ওলার ১৫ই মে, ১৯৯১ সালে, "জাতীয় মোল দিবস সংস্থা" প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন।[4] যুক্তরাষ্ট্র, দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকা, অস্ট্রেলিয়া এবং কানাডার বিভিন্ন বিদ্যালয় শিক্ষার্থীদের রসায়নের প্রতি আগ্রহী করতে মোল দিবস পালন করা হয়।
