পরজীবিতা

জীববিদ্যাতে পরাশ্রয়িতা প্রজাতির মধ্যে একটি অ-পারস্পরিক সমগত্রিয় প্রাজাতির সম্পর্ক আছে, যেখানে এক প্রজাতির পরজীবী, অন্য বাহকের ক্ষতি সাধন করে। প্রথাগতভাবে পরজীবী খালি চক্ষু কাছে দৃশ্যমান জীব (জৈবিক ব্যবহারের) অথবা প্রাথমিকভাবে উল্লেখ ক্ষুদ্র পরজীবী । পরজীবী যা সাধারণত ছোট যেমন প্রোটোজোয়া, ভাইরাস, ব্যাকটেরিয়া অন্তর্ভুক্ত। [1][2]

নামকরণ

১৫৩৯ সালে ইংরেজি ভাষায় সর্বপ্রথম প্যারাসাইট শব্দটি ব্যবহার হয়। যা এসেছে মেডিভাল ফ্রেঞ্চ parasite থেকে। ল্যাটিন "প্যারাসিটাস" শব্দটির উৎপত্তি প্রাচীন গ্রীক παράσιτος (প্যারাসিটোস) শব্দ হতে। এর অর্থ "অন্যকে ভক্ষণ করে যে" [3][4][5] কাছাকাছি ব্যবহার পাওয়া ১৬১১ সালে ইংরেজিতে "প্যারাটিজম" শব্দটিতে। [6]
