ইতিহাস

কুন-দ্গা'-ব্জাং-পো নামক সা-স্ক্যা ধর্মসম্প্রদায়ের এক পন্ডিত ১৪২৯ খ্রিষ্টাব্দে ঙ্গোর-এ-বাম-ছোস-ল্দান বৌদ্ধবিহার প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন যা পরবর্তীকালে সা-স্ক্যা ধর্মসম্প্রদায়ের ঙ্গোর গোষ্ঠীর মূলকেন্দ্রে পরিণত হয়। কুন-দ্গা'-ব্জাং-পোর আত্মজীবনী অনুসারে তিনি নিরিবিলিতে সাধনার উদ্দেশ্যে ও তৎকালীন রাজনীতিতে অত্যন্ত সক্রিয় সা-স্ক্যা ধর্মসম্প্রদায় থেকে দূরে থাকতে এই বিহার স্থাপন করেন। এই বিহারের পাঠ্যক্রম সা-স্ক্যা ধর্মসম্প্রদায়ের ঐতিহ্যানুসারেই পরিচালিত হত এবং এই বিহার মার্গফল তত্ত্বের ত্শোগ্স-ব্শাদ (ওয়াইলি: tshogs bshad) নামক ঐতিহ্যের মূল পীঠস্থান ছিল। কুন-দ্গা'-ব্জাং-পো এই বিহারের মূল মন্দির, মহাবিদ্যালয় ও প্রচুর মূর্তি নির্মাণের ব্যবস্থা করেন।[2]
