কাগজ উৎপাদন

কাগজ উৎপাদনের মূল তত্ত্ব হল, আঁশ জাতীয় পদার্থের লঘু জলীয় মিশ্রণকে একটি স্বচ্ছিদ্র পর্দার উপর ছড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয়। এর ফলে মিশ্রণের জলীয় অংশ পর্দা ভেদ করে ঝড়ে যায় আর পর্দার উপরে আঁশের পাতলা একটা আস্তরণ পড়ে থাকে। এই আস্তরণ কে ধিরে ধিরে বিভিন্ন প্রক্রিয়ায় শুকিয়ে কাগজে পরিণত করা হয়। অধিকাংশ কাগজ কাঠ থেকে উৎপাদিত মন্ড হতে প্রস্তুত করা হয়। এছাড়া তুলা এবং কাপড় থেকেও কাগজ প্রস্তুত হয়ে থাকে। কাগজ তৈরির বিভিন্ন পদ্ধতি যেমন:

  • রাসায়নিক পদ্ধতি
  • যান্ত্রিক পদ্ধতি
  • কালি অপসারিত মণ্ড

কাগজ কলের প্রচলন

আব্বাসীয় খিলাফত আমালে আনুমানিক ১২শ শতাব্দীতে বাগদাদে পৃথিবীর প্রথম কাগজ কলের প্রচলন ঘটায়। দশ বছরের মধ্য আব্বাসীয়রা স্পেনে উমাইয়া রাজধানী কর্ডোবাতে আরেকটি নামকরা কাগজ কল নির্মাণ করে।[1]
