উজির
উজির (/vɪˈzɪər/, /ˈvɪzjər/;[1] আরবি: وزير; Wazeer, ফার্সি: vazīr, তুর্কী: vezir, উর্দু: وزیر, Vazeer) উচ্চপদস্থ মন্ত্রী বা উপদেষ্টার পদ। আব্বাসীয় খলিফারা মন্ত্রীদেরকে উজির উপাধি দিয়েছিলেন। পূর্বে তাদের কাতিব (সচিব) ডাকা হত।[2]

আধুনিক যুগে আরব বিশ্ব, ইরান, তুরস্ক, পূর্ব আফ্রিকা, আফগানিস্তান, পাকিস্তান, তাজিকিস্তান ও উজবেকিস্তানে সরকারের মন্ত্রীদের বোঝাতে এই শব্দ ব্যবহার করা হয়। প্রধানমন্ত্রী বোঝাতে উজিরে আজম শব্দ ব্যবহৃত হয়।
