মোঁরেয়াল (ফরাসি: Montréal) বা মন্ট্রিঅল (ইংরেজি: Montreal)[4] হচ্ছে কানাডার দ্বিতীয় বৃহত্তম, কুইবেক প্রদেশের বৃহত্তম এবং উত্তর আমেরিকার নবম বৃহত্তম শহর। এটির মূল নাম ছিলো ভিলা মারি বা মেরির শহর।[5] শহরটির বর্তমান নামটি এসেছে শহরের কেন্দ্রস্থলে অবস্থিত পর্বতচূড়া মন্ট-রয়াল থেকে। এবং এই নামটি দেওয়া হয়েছে শহরের কাছে অবস্থিত আইল্যান্ড অফ মন্ট্রিঅল থেকে।[6][7]

২০১১ সালে আদমশুমারী অনুযায়ী এই শহরে বসবাসরত মানুষের সংখ্যা ১,৬৪৯,৫১৯ জন। মন্ট্রিঅলের মহানগর এলাকার (জমির পরিমান ৪,২৫৯ বর্গকিলোমিটার (১,৬৪৪ মা২)) জনসংখ্যা ছিলো ৩,৮২৪,২২১ এবং বর্তমানে ২০১৪ এ ধারণা করা হয় যে, কেন্দ্রীয় মহানগর এলাকায় ৪.১ মিলিয়ন লোক বাস করে। [8]

শহরের দাপ্তরিক ভাষা ফরাসি[9][10] এবং ২০০৬ সালের পরিসংখ্যান অনুসারে এখানকার বাসিন্দাদের ৫৬.৯% বাড়িতে ফরাসি ভাষা, ১৮.৬% ইংরেজি ভাষা এবং বাকীরা অন্যান্য ভাষায় কথা বলে।[11] এছাড়া বৃহত্তর মন্ট্রিঅলে ৬৭.৯% লোক বাড়িতে ফরাসি ভাষা এবং ১৬.৫% লোক ইংরেজি ভাষায় কথা বলে।[12] মন্ট্রিঅল কুইবেক এবং কানাডার শহরগুলোর মধ্যে অন্যতম দ্বিভাষিক শহর যেখানে ৫৬% লোক ইংরেজি এবং ফরাসি উভয় ভাষাতেই কথা বলতে পারে।[13] মন্ট্রিঅল প্যারিসের পরে দ্বিতীয় বৃহত্তম শহর যেখানে ফরাসি প্রাথমিক ভাষা হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।[14][15][16] [17]
