History

The University of Texas School of Medicine at San Antonio and the University Hospital System together make an internationally prominent center of educational innovation and medical training. It is an ideal environment for the interchange of ideas and multidisciplinary professional growth. Their primary training facility, University Hospital, provides an extremely diverse and high acuity patient population. University Hospital in San Antonio is a Level I trauma center and serves as the preferred tertiary care referral hospital for South Texas. Together the UT School of Medicine and University Hospital offers their Emergency Medicine residents tremendous opportunities to work and learn in a combined University/County Hospital environment surrounded by some of the brightest minds in the country.
