History

Joined a network of 28 acute care hospital emergency departments. The opportunities ahead with regard to improving patient care, resident and student education and research are simply amazing. PGY1

  • 4 weeks - Orientation
  • 5, 4-week blocks - Emergency Department: BUMCT and BUMCS
  • 4 weeks - Medical Intensive Care: SAVAHCS
  • 4 weeks - Emergency Department: SAVAHCS
  • 4 weeks - Emergency Surgery/Trauma: BUMCT
  • 4 weeks - Orthopedics: BUMCT
  • 2 weeks - Obstetrics: BUMCT
  • 4 weeks - Anesthesia: BUMCT
  • 4 weeks - Vacation (split into two 2-week blocks)
  • 2 weeks - Emergency Ultrasound

PGY2

  • 8, 4-week blocks - Emergency Department: BUMCT and BUMCS
  • 4 weeks - Pulmonary Intensive Care: BUMCT
  • 4 weeks - Surgical Intensive Care/In-House Code Team: BUMCT
  • 2 weeks - Cardiology: SAVAHCS
  • 2 weeks - Toxicology
  • 4 weeks - Selective
  • 4 weeks - Vacation (split into two 2-week blocks)

  • 9, 4-week blocks - Emergency Department: BUMCT and BUMCS
  • 4 weeks - Emergency Department: Tucson Medical Center
  • 4 weeks - Pediatric Intensive Care: BUMCT
