History

This program was started in 2013 and recruited its first class of residents in July 2014. This program recruits six residents per year and is a four year program.

PGY1

All at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital:

  • Emergency Medicine- 4 months
  • Pediatric Emergency Medicine- 1 month
  • Internal Medicine- 1 month
  • OB/GYN- 1 month
  • General Surgery- 1 month
  • Cardiology- 1 month
  • ICU- 1 month
  • Radiology- 2 weeks
  • Ultrasound- 2 weeks
  • Anesthesiology- 1 month

PGY2

All at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital unless otherwise indicated:

  • Emergency Medicine- 6 months
  • Pediatric Emergency Medicine (ProMedica Toledo Children's Hospital)- 1 month
  • Neurology- 1 month
  • Orthopedic Surgery- 1 month
  • Emergency Medical Service/ Ultrasound- 1 month
  • Medical ICU (ProMedica Toledo Hospital)- 1 month
  • ENT- 2 weeks
  • Elective- 2 weeks

PGY3

  • Emergency Medicine (ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital)- 5 months
  • Emergency Medicine (ProMedica Toledo Hospital)- 2 months
  • Surgical ICU/ Trauma (ProMedica Toledo Hospital)- 1 month
  • PICU (ProMedica Toledo Children's Hospital)- 1 month
  • Ophthalmology- 1 month
  • Elective- 1 month

PGY4

  • Emergency Medicine (ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital)- 6 months
  • Emergency Medicine (Promedica Toledo Hospital)- 2 months
  • Pediatric Emergency Medicine (ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital)- 1 month
  • Trauma (Shock Trauma- University of Maryland)- 1 month
  • Toxicology (Detroit Medical Center)- 1 month
  • Administration- 1 month
