History

LSU's Spirit of Charity Emergency Medicine Residency continues its tradition of clinical excellence and leadership as it concludes its successful 2014 match, which includes its inaugural class of combined Emergency Medicine/Pediatric Residents! It offers exciting and comprehensive training opportunities with Level I Trauma Center, disaster medicine experiences, international opportunities, and its unique partnerships with regional, national, and international emergency medical services, to name a few.

Since 1973, the LSU Section of Emergency Medicine at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center - New Orleans (LSUHSC) has offered accurate, compassionate, nonjudgmental care for all patients with urgent to emergent medical needs.
