C-team Admission Criteria
- ST elevation MI
- Ischemic chest pain AND
- Positive troponin OR
- At least 1 mm labile ST depression OR
- Heart failure/pulmonary edema
- Ischemic chest pain + prior PCI or CABG within the previous 6 months
- Congenital heart disease
- Complex congenital heart disease OR
- Surgically uncorrected congenital heart disease OR
- Cyanotic congenital heart disease with cardiac symptoms
- Symptomatic arrhythmias – tachycardia, bradycardia or ectopy
- Class IV heart failure after treatment in ED (IV diuresis x 2, BP control)
- Tamponade
- Critical aortic stenosis
- Endocarditis
- Aortic dissection declined by surgery
- Pulmonary hypertension followed by Dr. Oudiz (in pulmonary hypertension clinic)
- Patients accepted from other facilities by cardiology
- Patients admitted from cardiology clinic for a cardiac problem
- Return of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC) patients receiving hypothermia protocol
Patients who could likely be managed on a different team + cardiology consult
- Patients with prosthetic valves, ICDs or pacemakers who do not have primary cardiac issue
- Intermediate risk ACS
- Heart failure class I, II or III
Patients who might be appropriate for CORE
- Patients with low or intermediate risk ACS
- Heart failure class I, II, or III
