History

Carolinas Laparoscopic and Advanced Surgery Program (CLASP) was established by Dr. B. Todd Heniford in 1998. CLASP combines talented medical professionals and minimally invasive surgical techniques to improve the outcome of patients with disorders of the intestine, spine, solid organs, heart and others. The program is nationally recognized and is committed to patient care, quality research, measurement of clinical and economic outcomes and promotion of education. They pioneer new surgical techniques in minimally invasive surgery, along with ground-breaking studies and education methods.
