STD Surveillance 2012

  Requires Adobe Reader.

The following profiles provide an overview of syphilis morbidity in each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. The profiles consist of figures and tables of data on syphilis from the U.S. states and territories through 2012. Race/ethnicity data are now presented in OMB-race and ethnic categories, according to the revised Office of Management and Budget (OMB) standards; NCHS bridged-race categories are used where OMB categories are not available. Case report data are the foundation of STD surveillance systems, and are collected by state and local health departments.
