PRC Research Solutions for Communities with Health Disparities cover

The March 2017 issue of American Journal of Preventive Medicine Special Supplement celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the CDC’s PRC Program. The 30-year history of the PRC Program reflects the importance of prevention research as a vital, integral component of public health. The publication showcases the public health research of the PRC Program since 1986.

The supplement highlights effective strategies developed and implemented through these academic, community and public health partnerships. PRC academic and community partners provided the 21 peer-reviewed original research articles in the publication. The article topics include dissemination and implementation of long-standing evidence-based programs, research to practice in state and local public health settings, collaboration with community partners, and training of the public health workforce.
