PHHS Block Grant Supports Healthy People Priorities

HP 2020 Map Healthy People  is a set of goals and objectives with 10-year targets designed to guide national health promotion and disease prevention efforts to improve the health of all people in the United States. Released by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services each decade, this framework reflects the idea that setting objectives and providing science-based benchmarks to track and monitor progress can motivate and focus action.

Healthy People 2020  Priorities by Grantee — Fiscal Year 2016

In fiscal year 2016, the PHHS Block Grant recipients operate using Healthy People 2020  topic areas to address the health needs and funding gaps specific to their communities. The information in these tables reflects how funding was distributed across topic areas as of November 1, 2016. Grantees were able to move money between topic areas during the project period (October 1, 2015–September 30, 2016) to ensure resources went to the highest priority needs.
