摘要

少數種族和族裔社區需要參與制定健康資訊,以確保其文化適當性、提高其被接受程度並促進採取健康行為。國立衛生院的國立心、肺和血液研究所(National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute)將拉丁美洲人的心臟健康課程,納入了針對美國印第安人/阿拉斯加原住民、非洲裔美國人和菲律賓人的文化適當性課程。從這一流程得到的經驗和教訓,可以協助相關公共衛生執業人員將依據科學的心臟健康資訊納入實用健康教育資訊,滿足多元化群體的文化和背景需要。
