The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has announced a senior-level vacancy for Director of CDC's National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).

Duties of the job, qualifications, and information on how to apply are posted on the web.

Mandatory qualifications for the position are:

  • Progressively responsible experience that reflects in-depth knowledge of the principles applicable to occupational safety and health, including at least one year of specialized experience in a relevant field equivalent to the GS-15 level.
  • Responsible experience indicating national professional stature in any of the sciences relevant to occupational safety and health research.

The closing date for applications is August 18, 2001.
