•INHALATION Cough. Sore throat. Burning sensation. Shortness of breath. Laboured breathing.
Local exhaust or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest. Half-upright position. Refer immediately for medical attention.
•SKIN Redness. Pain. Skin burns.
Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
Wear protective gloves when administering first aid. Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower for at least 15 minutes. Put clothes in sealable container (SEE Notes). Refer immediately for medical attention.
•EYES Redness. Pain. Burns.
Face shield and eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
Rinse with plenty of water (remove contact lenses if easily possible). Refer immediately for medical attention.
•INGESTION Burns in mouth and throat. Burning sensation in the throat and chest. Shock or collapse.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer immediately for medical attention.

Personal protection: complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment. Collect leaking liquid in sealable containers. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place.
Provision to contain effluent from fire extinguishing. Separated from strong acids, strong oxidants, chlorinated hydrocarbons, and food and feedstuffs . Dry. Store in an area without drain or sewer access.
Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

The substance decomposes on burning producing toxic fumes including ammonia , nitrogen oxides . The substance is a strong base, it reacts violently with acid and is corrosive. Reacts with oxidants and chlorinated hydrocarbons. pH is 11.8

The substance is corrosive to the eyes, the skin and the respiratory tract. Corrosive on ingestion. Inhalation of mist may cause severe swelling of the throat.
