Local exhaust. Breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention. See Notes.
•SKIN MAY BE ABSORBED! (see Inhalation).
Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Seek medical attention if you feel unwell
•EYES Redness.
Safety goggles .
Rinse with plenty of water (remove contact lenses if easily possible).
•INGESTION Blue skin. (See Inhalation).
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Refer immediately for medical attention.

Personal protection: chemical protection suit including self-contained breathing apparatus. Sweep spilled substance into sealablecontainers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment.
Separated from combustible and reducing substances, food and feedstuffs. Store in an area without drain or sewer access. Provision to contain effluent from fire extinguishing.
Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
PALE-YELLOW CRYSTALS , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR.

PHYSICAL DANGERS:
Dust explosion possible if in powder or granular form, mixed with air.

CHEMICAL DANGERS:
The substance decomposes on burning, producing toxic and corrosive fumes including nitrogen oxides , chlorine (See ICSC 0126) , hydrogen chloride (see ICSC0163) , and phosgene (See ICSC 0007) , causing fire and explosion hazard. The substance is a strong oxidant and reacts with combustible and reducing materials.

The substance is mildly irritating to the eyes. The substance may cause effects on the blood, resulting in the formation of methaemoglobin. The effects may be delayed. Medical observation is indicated. See Notes.

TLV (as para-nitrochlorobenzene): 0.1 ppm (skin) A3 (confirmed animal carcinogen with unknown relevance to humans) BEI issued (ACGIH 2006). See ICSC0028. Depending on the degree of exposure, periodic medical examination is suggested. Specific treatment is necessary in case of poisoning with this substance; the appropriate means with instructions must be available. Rinse contaminated clothes with plenty of water because of fire hazard.
