FIRE FIGHTING

FIRE Explosive. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.
NO open flames, NO sparks, and NO smoking.
In case of fire in the surroundings: use appropriate extinguishing media.
EXPLOSION Risk of fire and explosion.
Closed system, ventilation, explosion-proof electrical equipment and lighting. Do NOT expose to friction or shock.
Combat fire from a sheltered position.
EXPOSURE


•INHALATION See Ingestion.
Ventilation (not if powder), local exhaust, or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest.
•SKIN MAY BE ABSORBED! Redness.
Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap.
•EYES Redness. Pain.
Safety spectacles, or eye protection in combination with breathing protection if powder.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
•INGESTION Confusion. Drowsiness. Convulsions. Unconsciousness.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Refer for medical attention.

Evacuate danger area! Consult an expert! Remove all ignition sources. Personal protection: chemical protection suit. Cover the spilled material with water. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place. Do NOT wash away into sewer. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment.
Fireproof. Separated from strong bases, strong acids. Store in an area without drain or sewer access.

As a result of flow, agitation, etc., electrostatic charges can be generated. Dust explosion possible if in powder or granular form, mixed with air.

CHEMICAL DANGERS:
Heating may cause violent combustion or explosion. May decompose explosively on shock, friction, or concussion. The substance decomposes on heating producing toxic gases including nitrogen oxides . Reacts violently with acids and bases .
