Dust explosion possible if in powder or granular form, mixed with air.

The substance decomposes on contact with sparks , causing fire and explosion hazard.

The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation.

INHALATION RISK:
Evaporation at 20°C is negligible; a harmful concentration of airborne particles can, however, be reached quickly when dispersed.

The substance irritates the respiratory tract.

Lungs may be affected by repeated or prolonged exposure to dust particles.

N O T E S

Health effects of exposure to the substance have not been investigated adequately. The substance is usually used in combination with other compounds such as tungsten carbide, cobalt. Workers exposed to mixed dusts containing titanium carbide have developed pneumoconiosis.
