EXPOSURE
STRICT HYGIENE!
IN ALL CASES CONSULT A DOCTOR!
•INHALATION Convulsions. Laboured breathing. Pupillary constriction, muscle cramp, excessive salivation. Sweating.
Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
•SKIN MAY BE ABSORBED! See Inhalation.
Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer for medical attention.
•EYES See inhalation.
Safety goggles , face shield or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
•INGESTION See Inhalation. Abdominal cramps. Diarrhoea. Vomiting.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.
Rinse mouth. Give one or two glasses of water to drink. Refer for medical attention.

SPILLAGE DISPOSAL

STORAGE

PACKAGING & LABELLING

PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
COLOURLESS TO YELLOW LIQUID , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR.

PHYSICAL DANGERS:

CHEMICAL DANGERS:
The substance decomposes under influence of heat producing fumes of phosphorous oxides , sulfur oxides .

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS:
OSHA PEL: none
NIOSH REL: TWA 0.05 mg/m3 ST 0.2 mg/m3 skin
NIOSH IDLH: N.D. See: IDLH INDEX
TLV: (inhalable fraction & vapour) 0.05 mg/m3 as TWA; (skin); A4 (not classifiable as a human carcinogen); BEI issued; (ACGIH 2008).
MAK not established.

ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body rapidly by inhalation, through the skin, the eyes and by ingestion.

INHALATION RISK:
A harmful contamination of the air will be reached rather slowly on evaporation of this substance at 20°C; on spraying or dispersing, however, much faster.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance may cause effects on the central nervous system , resulting in cholinesterase inhibition. Exposure may result in death. Medical observation is indicated. The effects may be delayed.

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
Cholinesterase inhibitor; cumulative effect is possible: see acute hazards/symptoms.

ENVIRONMENTAL
DATA

The substance is very toxic to aquatic organisms. This substance may be hazardous to the environment; special attention should be given to birds and honey bees. This substance does enter the environment under normal use. Great care, however, should be given to avoid any additional release, e.g. through inappropriate disposal.

N O T E S

Do NOT take working clothes home. Depending on the degree of exposure, periodic medical examination is suggested. Specific treatment is necessary in case of poisoning with this substance; the appropriate means with instructions must be available. Card has been partly updated in October 2004 and 2005. See sections Occupational Exposure Limits, EU classification, Emergency Response.
Transport Emergency Card: TEC (R)-61GT6-I
Card has been partially updated in November 2008: see Ingestion First Aid, Occupational Exposure Limits,
