AVOID ALL CONTACT!

•INHALATION Cough. Sore throat.
Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
•SKIN Redness.
Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower.
•EYES Redness.
Safety goggles.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
•INGESTION Shortness of breath. Weakness. Hyperirritability. Tremors.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Induce vomiting (ONLY IN CONSCIOUS PERSONS!). Refer for medical attention.

Ventilation. Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place. Personal protection: chemical protection suit including self-contained breathing apparatus.

The substance decomposes on burning producing toxic fumes including phosphorous oxides . Reacts with strong bases and strong oxidants . May explode on heating during large scale atmospheric pressure distillation.

The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its vapour, through the skin and by ingestion.

No indication can be given about the rate in which a harmful concentration in the air is reached on evaporation of this substance at 20°C.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance is irritating to the eyes , the skin and the respiratory tract . The substance may cause effects on the nervous system.

The substance may have effects on the nervous system , resulting in flaccid paralysis. May cause heritable genetic damage to human germ cells.
