Depending on the degree of exposure, periodic medical examination is suggested. Specific treatment is necessary in case of poisoning with this substance; the appropriate means with instructions must be available. Commercial xylidine is a mixture of isomers where the 2,4-, 2,5- and 2,6-isomers dominate. See also ICSC 1519 (2,6-Xylidine), 1562 (2,4-Xylidine), 0453 (3,4-Xylidine), 1686 (2,5-Xylidine), 1687 (3,5-Xylidine).
