Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower.

Safety spectacles.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
•INGESTION Abdominal pain. Drowsiness. Nausea.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Give one or two glasses of water to drink.

Sweep spilled substance into containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place.

The substance decomposes on heating producing toxic fumes including sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides and sodium oxide. The substance is a weak base.

Evaporation at 20°C is negligible; a nuisance-causing concentration of airborne particles can, however, be reached quickly when dispersed.

N O T E S

Health effects of exposure to the substance have been investigated, but none has been found. The reaction with nitrosating agents can result in the formation of carcinogenic N-nitrosodiethylamine (DFG 2008). Imuthiol is a trade name.
