The substance will polymerize due to heating or in the presence of a catalyst, if not inhibited. On combustion, forms toxic gases. Reacts with strong oxidants, acids and bases.

ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol and by ingestion. 4.4 mg/l x 4 h; 656 (females)-891 (males) mg/kg

INHALATION RISK:
A harmful contamination of the air will be reached rather slowly on evaporation of this substance at 20°C; on spraying or dispersing, however, much faster.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
If this liquid is swallowed, aspiration into the lungs may result in chemical pneumonitis. 1.61 mm2/s (13 cP) at 20 C --> therefore lower viscosity at 40 C (Oct 2006).

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
Repeated or prolonged contact may cause skin sensitization.
