FIRE Highly flammable.
NO open flames, NO sparks, and NO smoking.
Water spray, alcohol-resistant foam , carbon dioxide , powder .
EXPLOSION Vapour/air mixtures are explosive. Heating will cause rise in pressure with risk of bursting.
Closed system, ventilation, explosion-proof electrical equipment and lighting. Do NOT use compressed air for filling, discharging, or handling. Use non-sparking handtools. Prevent build-up of electrostatic charges (e.g., by grounding).
In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water.
EXPOSURE


•INHALATION Cough. Dizziness. Drowsiness. Headache. Nausea.
Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.

•SKIN Redness.
Protective gloves.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap.
•EYES Redness.
Safety goggles or eye protection in combination with breathing protection. .
Rinse with plenty of water (remove contact lenses if easily possible).
•INGESTION Abdominal pain. Nausea. Vomiting. (Further see Inhalation).
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer for medical attention.

Evacuate danger area! Consult an expert! Remove all ignition sources. Personal protection: self-contained breathing apparatus. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment. Ventilation. Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place. Do NOT wash away into sewer.
Fireproof. Provision to contain effluent from fire extinguishing. Separated from strong oxidants, Store in an area without drain or sewer access.

COLOURLESS LIQUID , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR.

PHYSICAL DANGERS:
The vapour is heavier than air and may travel along the ground; distant ignition possible. As a result of flow, agitation, etc., electrostatic charges can be generated.

CHEMICAL DANGERS:
Heating may cause violent combustion or explosion. Reacts with strong oxidants.

INHALATION RISK:
A harmful contamination of the air can be reached rather quickly on evaporation of this substance at 20°C.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance is mildly irritating to the eyes, the skin and the respiratory tract . If this liquid is swallowed, aspiration into the lungs may result in chemical pneumonitis. Exposure far above the OEL could cause lowering of consciousness.

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
The liquid defats the skin. Repeated or prolonged contact with skin may cause dermatitis.
