A person who is diagnosed with hemophilia previously has experienced, and will likely continue to experience, bleeding episodes during his lifetime. Approximately 30% of children with hemophilia present with bleeding from circumcision. One to two percent of newborns with hemophilia present with intracranial hemorrhage.

Whether working in a medical setting, as a nurse or as a social worker, learning to assess and manage bleeding episodes is a critical part of becoming an effective hemophilia care provider.  In this module, you will learn how to determine proper treatment options to use when patients have bleeding episodes.
