As part of the MMWR Series, CDC has released the Summary of
Notifiable
Diseases, United States, 1992 (1). This publication contains
summary tables
of the official statistics for the occurrence of notifiable
diseases during
1992, which are compiled from reports to the National Notifiable
Diseases
Surveillance System (NNDSS). In addition, data since 1943 are
presented in
tables (by month, geographic location, and patient age and
race/ethnicity)
and in maps and charts for many conditions. Also included is a
table on
deaths associated with specified notifiable diseases reported to
CDC's
National Center for Health Statistics.
All subscribers to MMWR receive the Summary of Notifiable
Diseases,
United States, 1992, as well as the Recommendations and Reports and
the CDC
Surveillance Summaries, as part of their subscriptions.
