What

Hospital practices in the first hours and days after a birth make the difference in whether and how long babies are breastfed. In the United States, hospital support for breastfeeding has largely improved since 2007, according to the latest CDC Vital Signs report. Further improvement in hospital practices could increase breastfeeding rates and contribute to better child and mother’s health as well as reduce health care costs.
