Fire Safety at Work

Prevent fire-related injuries and deaths in the workplace.

Building Owners and Lesses:

• Install and test sprinkler systems that meet state fire codes
• Install and test smoke alarms.
• Replace smoke alarms every 10 years.

Employers:

• Plan fire escape routes in the event of a fire.
• Conduct fire drills to practice escape routes.
• Identify a meeting location.
• Identify a person to take roll.
