Johnston County Osteoarthritis Project: Arthritis, Disability, and Other Chronic Diseases (RFA-DP-16-003)

This funding opportunity announcement will support the continuation of a population-based longitudinal study to (1) refine population-based estimates of the prevalence, incidence, and progression of hip and knee osteoarthritis and related outcomes; (2) gather information on and investigate possible factors (both risk and protective, including other chronic conditions) associated with hip and knee osteoarthritis; and (3) determine racial or ethnic differences in outcomes, the role of comorbid conditions, and the effect of risk factors on osteoarthritis outcomes.
