மெடூசா

மெடூசா (Medusa) என்பவள் கிரேக்கத் தொன்மத்தில் வரும் ஓர் அரக்கி ஆவாள். இவள் மிகவும் அசிங்கமாக இருப்பதால் இவள் யாரையேனும் பார்த்தால் பார்த்தவர்கள் கல்லாகி விடுவர். வெண்கலக்கையும் நச்சுப்பல்லும் உடைய இவளுடைய தலையில் முடிகளுக்குப் பதில் பாம்புகள் இருக்கும். இவள் போர்க்கிஸ் மற்றும் கெடோவின் பிள்ளை ஆவாள்.[1] இவள் சக்தி வாய்ந்தவளும் மிகவும் பலம்பொருந்தியவளும் ஆவாள்.[2] [3] இவள் பேர்சியஸ் என்பவனால் கொல்லப்படுகின்றாள்.
