ஆற்றுப் பூவரசு (Trewia nudiflora) என்ற இந்த தாவரம் வெப்ப மண்டல ஆப்பிரிக்காக் காட்டுப் பகுதியில் அதிகமாகக் காணப்படுகிறது. மேலும் இந்தியத் துணைக்கண்டப்பகுதி, கிழக்கு ஆசியா, தென் கிழக்கு ஆசியா, பசிபிக் தீவுகள், மற்றும் ஆஸ்திரேலியா பகுதியிலும் காணப்படுகிறது. இத்தாவரம் ஆமணக்குக் குடும்பத்தைச் சார்ந்த தாவரம் ஆகும்.[2][3][4][5]
