கர்நாடகா சப்போட்டா

கர்நாடகா சப்போட்டா என்பது சப்போட்டேசியே குடும்பத்தைச் சார்ந்த ஓர் இருவித்திலைத் தாவரம். இதன் அறிவியல் பெயர் மதுகா இன்சைக்னிஸ் (Madhuca insignis)என்பதாகும். இது இந்தியாவுக்கே உரிய தாவரம் ஆகும்.

வாழிடம் இழப்பால் இத்தாவரம் முற்றும் அழிந்து விட்டதாய்க் கூறப்படுகிறது.
