தமிழர்கள்

தமிழகத்திலிருந்து வழக்கம்போல் இந்த வருடமும் உத்தரகண்டுக்கு பலர் புனிதப் பயணம் மேற்கொண்டிருந்தனர். இந்த வெள்ளத்தில் அவர்களும் சிக்கிக் கொண்டனர். அவர்களை மீட்க தமிழக அரசும் தனது தரப்பில் முயற்சிகளை மேற்கொண்டது. மீட்கப்பட்ட தமிழர்கள் தில்லியிலிருந்து சென்னை வரை வந்தடைய இலவச விமானப் பயணச்சீட்டும், ஊர் போய் சேர போக்குவரத்து வசதியும் தமிழக அரசின் சார்பில் செய்து கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.

மீட்புப் பணி

இராணுவம் மற்றும் விமானப் படையினர் மீட்புப் பணியில் ஈடுபடுத்தப்பட்டனர். விமானப் படை வரலாற்றில் இல்லாத அளவில் அதிக அளவில் இராணுவத்தினர் ஈடுபடுத்தப்பட்டனர். இராணுவத்தின் இந்த பணி பாராட்டப்படக்கூடியதாய் இருந்தது.

இம்மீட்புப் பணியின் போது ஹெலிகாப்டர் ஒன்று விபத்துக்குள்ளானதில் அதில் பயணித்த விமானி உட்பட இராணுவ அதிகாரிகள் 20 பேர் பலியாயினர். அதில் விமானியான 27வயது பிரவீன் தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர்.
