ಸರ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾಧರ್ ಸೂರಜ್ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ನೈಪಾಲ್ (ಹುಟ್ಟು: ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ ೧೭, ೧೯೩೨)-,ಮರಣ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ ೧೧,೨೦೧೮) ಇವರು ಟ್ರಿನಿಡಾಡ್ ಮತ್ತು ಟೊಬ್ಯಾಗೊ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿರುವ, ಭಾರತ-ಟ್ರಿನಿಡಾಡ್ ಮೂಲದ, ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷ್ ಲೇಖಕ. ಇವರು ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇವರು ೨೦೦೧ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ನೊಬೆಲ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಭಾಜನರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ೧೯೯೦ರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡಿನ ರಾಣಿ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಎಲಿಜಬೆತ್ ಇವರಿಂದ ನೈಟ್‍ಹುಡ್ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

೧೯೭೧ರಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ ಎ ಫ್ರೀ ಸ್ಟೆಟ್ ಕೃತಿಗೆ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಮ್ಯಾನ್-ಬೂಕರ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ದೊರಕಿತು, ಆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪಡೆದ ಮೊದಲ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಮೂಲದ ಲೇಖಕರು ನೈಪಾಲ್. ಇವರ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಳು ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಇವರ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಕಥನಗಳನ್ನು ತೃತೀಯ ಜಗತ್ತನ್ನು ಕೆಟ್ಟದಾಗಿ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಿರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಟುವಾಗಿ ಟೀಕಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
