Campylobacter upsaliensis

Campylobacter upsaliensis is a bacterial species of Campylobacter[2] found in cats and dogs.[3]

Etymology

C. upsaliensis is named after Uppsala, Sweden, where it was first discovered.

Pathogenesis

C. upsaliensis can cause campylobacteriosis, but Campylobacter jejuni, a spiral and comma shaped bacterium normally found in cattle, swine, and birds , where it is nonpathogenic, causes most cases.[4]
