পোর্টস্‌মাথ

পোর্টসমাউথ (উচ্চারণ ) যুক্তরাজ্যের দক্ষিণ উপকূলে অবস্থিত হ্যাম্পশায়ার কাউন্টির দ্বিতীয় বৃহত্তম শহর। পোর্টসমাউথ যুক্তরাজ্যের একমাত্র দ্বীপ শহর হিসেবে পরিচিত; মূলত পোর্ট সি দ্বীপে অবস্থিত।[2] শহরটি লন্ডন থেকে ১০৩ কিলোমিটার দক্ষিণ পশ্চিম দিকে এবং সাউদাম্পটন থেকে ১৯ কিলোমিটার দক্ষিণ প্রবে অবস্থিত। এটিকে প্রায়শ পম্পেই নামে ডাকা হয়।
